If you have old synth patches as the Mark of the Unicorn Unisyn library files on a hard drive, floppy drive, or Zip disk we can convert them to System Exclusive files (.syx) or Standard Midi Files (.mid) for use in vintage hardware midi synths, soft synth emulators like FM7, FM8, VirtualCZ and modern patch librarian/editors. We can convert all types of Unisyn patches including for Yamaha DX7, Ensoniq ESQ-1, Oberheim Matrix 6, R6, and 1000, Casio CZ-101, Korg M1 or Roland D50. If we have it in our inventory and it has an audio tape backup feature we can convert it to tape backup audio as a .wav or .aiff file.
Once your files are converted you can use them in modern editor/librarians like Coffeeshopped Patch Base.
In the 80's MOTU created Digital Performer, Unisyn and FreeMidi. Unisyn was patch librarian that allowed you to quickly and easily store banks of patches for hardware synthesizers in a Macintosh computer and send them back into the synthesizer. They were also great since Unisyn integrated with Performer and FreeMidi in a way that allowed you to select instruments by name instead of by midi channel and patches by name instead of numbers and you could edit patches in a synthesizer. We can also convert Opcode Galaxy files and have extensive Yamaha FM synth file cross conversion capabilities.
