Roland TR-606

The Roland TR-606, released in 1981, is an analog drum machine known for having very similar sounds to the Roland TR-808. The six drum sounds, including kick, snare, high tom, low tom, cymbal and open and hi-hat. It was used in many techno, house, electro and IDM productions. The din sync jack and be switched between being an input (will follow an external machine) or output (will lead other machines) for use with the TR-808, TR-909, TB-303. XBase 09, Jupiter 8 arpeggiator, and more. The hi tom and low tom have voltage outputs that can be used for many things such s triggering the clock pulse of other gear like the Juno 60 arpeggiator, SH-101 sequencer, or as and input to a drum trigger interface that does not have midi like the CP-2 or HC-2. Pair it with out Korg KMS-30 for midi sync. Out unit has been serviced by Charles Stella at OC Synth Lab and is fully functional. It has been used in tracks by Daft Punk, John Frusciante, Daft Punk, Prince, Justice, The Chemical Brothers, Autechre, Squarepusher, Moby, Big Black, RZA, The Crystal Method, Skinny Puppy, Venetian Snares, Future Sound of London, Richie Hawtin, Larry Heard, 808 State and Meat Beat Manifesto.
