Akai S2000

The Akai S2000 is a sampler from 1995 which offers 32-voice polyphony and 16-part multitimbrality, allowing for the simultaneous playback and layering of multiple samples. The S2000 features extensive editing options, and compatibility with MESA and MESA II, giving musicians and producers flexibility in manipulating and shaping samples. It has been used in tracks by Justice, Boards of Canada, Calibre and The Avalanches.
