Akai S3000XL

The S3000XL was Akai's flagship sampler in 1996 featuring 32 voices, 8 outputs, 16 part multitimbral SCSI and digital I/O. It runs at 44.1 and 22.05 KHz, 16-bit. The on screen menu allows for a waveform view for sample editing. Built-in waveforms, LOFs, and envelopes allows it to operate like a synth. Our unit has 32 MB of memory, EB-16 Sampler Verb effects, IB-304F Pro Filter DSP providing dynamic filter control and a CompactFlash storage upgrade (replacing the floppy drive) and an option SCSI ZIP drive. We have our drive loaded with plenty punchy drum sounds along with classic drum machines, classic breaks, acoustic instruments and classic keyboards.
