Ensoniq ESQ1
Digital/Analog hybrid synth from 1986. 61 full size keys, 8 note polyphony, 3 digital oscillators per voice with 32 waveform types. 3 LFOs per voice, 4 Pole analog resonant filter (VCF) and 4 VCAs with 4 Envelopes. It has 40 internal patches and we have the RAM cartridge which allows for another 16 banks, totaling to 640 patches in memory. The ESQ1 been used by Skinny Puppy, Boards of Canada, and Jean-Michel Jarre. The ESQ1 is one of the only hardware synths with both analog filters and quasi-microtuning capabilities.
