Alesis HD24 Hard Disk Recorder

Alesis HD24We can transfer Alesis HD24 and HD24XR hard drive tracks as .wav files that you can mix in any modern DAW such as Pro Tools, Nuendo, Reaper, GarageBand, Logic or Studio One. If you have your IDE drives but no longer have access to this machine you will not be able to simply drop the audio into a DAW session since the files are fragmented into multiple files. It must be rendered which will allow all of the tracks to align on your timeline. All hard drive file recovery is done in the digital domain, with no added analog/digital conversion for perfect 1:1 digital copies of your Alesis projects.

The Alesis HD24 replaced the ADAT tape system for many users. These units featured two front loading, modular IDE bays. 24 channels of TRS analog and ADAT optical I/O was standard with no expandable options.

Alesis drive caddyYou may come across a box that looks like this with a hard drive inside in your master recording archive. This is an Alesis caddy with a drive. Even if the IDE drive has been removed from the caddy and you know that it is an Alesis drive, please contact us and we can extract the files for you.
