Sequential Circuits Prophet 5

The Prophet 5 is the quintessential 80's polysynth. It is a 61 key keyboard synth with 5 voices and 2 oscillators that was first produced in 1978. The most notable uses are by Nick Rhodes of Duran Duran, Thomas Dolby, The Eurythmics, Pet Shop Boys, New Order, Depeche Mode, Vince Clarke, Talking Heads, Phil Collins, Gray Newman, Hall & Oates, The Cars, and John Carpenter.

Our Prophet 5 is a rev 2, which utilizes the famed SSM chips. It is considered to be the warmest of the Prophet 5 revisions, and certainly the most sought after. The unit also has a Kenton MIDI retrofit installed. It has recently been serviced by Greg Montalbano. Watch a demo here.
