Yamaha TG33

From 1990 comes the Yamaha TG33 is a synthesizer module that features a hybrid synthesis engine combining AWM (Advanced Waveform Memory) and 2-operator FM synthesis. It offers 32 voices and 16-part multitimbrality, allowing for complex layering and sound design. Users can mix the sampled internal waveforms along with the FM synthesis to create a wide variety of sounds. The TG33 includes a vector synthesis joystick that enables crossfading between the four elements that make up each patch, where elements A and B are samples and elements C and D are FM. It has been used in tracks by Legowelt, Vukan and Nacho Marty Meyer.
