Opcode Galaxy Banks, Bundles, and Libraries to .syx System Exclusive or Standard Midi .mid
In the 80's Opcode Systems created Vision, OMS, and Galaxy. Galaxy was a patch librarian that allowed you to quickly and easily store banks of patches for hardware synthesizers in a Macintosh computer and send them back into the synthesizer. It was also great since it integrated with OMS and Vision in a way that allowed you to select instruments by name instead of by midi channel and patches by name instead of numbers. Galaxy Plus Editors could edit patches in a synthesizer. It's roots were in the DX Editor made by David Zicarelli who went on to start Cycling '74.
If you have old Galaxy files on a hard drive, floppy drive, or Zip disk we can convert them to System Exclusive files (.syx) or Standard Midi Files (.mid) for use in vintage hardware midi synths, soft synth emulators like FM7, FM8, VirtualCZ and modern patch librarian/editors. We can convert all types of Galaxy patches including for Yamaha DX7, Ensoniq ESQ-1, Oberheim Matrix 6, R6, and 1000, Casio CZ-101, Korg M1 or Roland D50
Once your files are converted you can use them in modern editor/librarians like Coffeeshopped Patch Base.
