Sending Pro Tools files for conversion

Pro Tools 1 through 5 made on a Mac require special care and attention to details. Please read carefully for the fastest turnaround.

  1. You must zip your Pro Tools files before you upload them.
  2. You should try not to send a copy of a Mac Pro Tools session that was ever stored on a FAT23, eXFAT or NTFS drive. They may by recoverable but at a higher cost. Use an older copy directly from a Mac hard drive, CD or DVD ROM.
  3. Don’t send files that you tried to open in modern Pro Tools by placing .ptf or .ptx at the end of the file name. These are probably corrupted. Go back to your safe, older copies.
